One of my Top Three Favorite Trips/Place in New Zealand - Milford Sounds

Milford Sounds in Fiordland National Park (biggest National Park in NZ) is a fiord in the south west and is one of the wettest places in the world. It accumulates 252 inches of rain ever year a will rain at least 200 days of the year.  All this rain creates magical waterfalls from high up on the mountain sides.  Some smaller waterfalls never reach the bottom of the lake and turn into mist before ever being seen.  We took a boat tour through this Jurassic Park like place.  It literally looked like king kong could live here and nobody would know. Beech trees were grown into the mountainside their roots nessling into bare rock.  The mistyness added to effect of the environment and gave it an almost eerie feeling.  Many film producers come here to use this for film sets. Actually, as we were leaving we saw the film set for Prometheus 2 the precursor to Aliens.  One of the best parts was the endless supply of coffee and tea they had aboard...numnumnumnum. This trip was done during the last part of our Easter Break vacation.
